Jill Scala, M.A.
Professional Development Trainer
Jill Scala has helped companies realize increasing levels of potential by fostering effective methods of communication, including Coaching, Performance Counseling, and Conflict Resolution. Known for her energetic style and workshop approach, Jill maximizes the learning transfer by making her training fun, yet productive and effective.

Jill has a BA in Communications and an MA in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine School of Law.  She is an instructor at Santa Barbara City College and has developed certification programs for inhouse universities. 

Anna Stump
Professional Development Trainer (Bilingual)
Anna Stump possesses over 10 years in the field as a trainer/educator. She holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a Bilingual emphasis and a Masters of Education. A true teacher at heart, Anna has lectured and supervised for UCSB’s Graduate School of Education as well as the Professional Development Center at SBCC. Anna facilitates over thirty courses including: Ethics, Motivation, Strategic Communication, and Problem solving; with an ability to execute fluently in Spanish as well as in English.

Erma Leticia Cervantes

Erma has an impressive record of successful experience in all facets of human resources.  She is uniquely skilled in strategy development and execution.  She has a special talent for assessing company needs, developing cost efficient programs, and navigating complex labor laws. Her areas of expertise include recruitment, training, employment and labor laws, policies and procedures, regulations, benefits, and risk management. She has developed new performance and merit increase programs, helped improve employee engagement and satisfaction, and reduced risk by improving safety programs.  

Cynthia Garcia
Trainer, Sexual Harassment (Bilingual)
With over 7 years of management experience in the combined fields of Human Resources and Sales & Marketing, Cynthia Garcia delivers effective seminars in Sexual Harassment and Workforce Behavior. Cynthia specializes in coaching monolingual (Spanish) & bilingual (Spanish/English) employees with cross-culture supervisory & management level skills. A graduate in inter-culture communications of San Francisco State University, Cynthia, is also certified in management, recruiting and workers compensation.

Fred Pachón has more than 20 years of insurance and risk management experience, including all aspects of California Workers' Compensation claims handling. He has served as a Special Investigator, Case Manager, and Regional Manger for major insurance companies, as well as Claims/Risk Manager for major corporations. He holds several professional designations: CPDM-Certified Professional in Disability Management, WCCP-Workers' Compensation Claims Professional, and ARM-Associate in Risk Management. He is also certified by the State of California to administrate self-insured plans. Focusing on loss prevention, Fred has drawn from his expert knowledge of OSHA requirements to train in the areas of Safety, Human Resources, and Claims. He has also conducted training sessions concerning Employee/Employer Loyalty, Supervisory Management, Wrongful Termination vs. Workers' Comp, Serious and Willful Actions, and Sexual Harassment. Fully bilingual (English and Spanish), Fred holds a degree in Business Administration from the Central University of Venezuela.

Cynthia Muro
Business Development Manager and Bilingual Trainer

Cynthia joined the PTI Team in 2009 coming from a background of Corporate Finance and    Business Development. Her high energy, engaging personality, and developed communication skills, make training and learning a fun experience. Her ability to assess individual and company needs make her an invaluable resource to the Power Training Institute. Cynthia specializes in bilingual and monolingual Spanish employee training and creates a balanced environment for participants speaking both English and Spanish to take classes together. Graduating from the University of California at Riverside, we are proud to have Cynthia’s skills available for our customers and clients.

Jane Bright, SPHR
Professional Development Trainer

Jane Bright’s career in human resources spans more than twenty years.  Jane has held the positions of Vice President of Human Resources and Human Resources Director for manufacturing, technology, engineering and service organizations. She manages her own consulting firm and, as principle of the Bright Group Human Resources, has provided HR generalist support to client companies that range in size from $100 million to $500 million annual revenue. Jane has also been the Chief Financial Officer of a non-profit organization for the past eight years. Jane has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Human Resources Management from California State University, Northridge.  She has been teaching the SHRM Learning System as preparation for the PHR/SPHR certification program for PIHRA and Cal Lutheran University since 2007.  Jane lives in the Thousand Oaks area.
